When the Victorian transom was brought to Pamela, it was in a state of complete deterioration. The panel was over 100 years old and the lead was like tissue paper. The owner wanted it to be returned to its original glory and even enlarged by adding extra borders.
Pamela began by documenting and then disassembling the whole panel. Several of the gorgeous large bevels were broken so she sent them to a colleague who makes custom bevels. When they were returned, she was the able to begin the process of restoration. Working with the beautiful glasses, bevels and exquisite design was a joy.
The client was very happy and wrote,
“It looks beautiful! Thank you!”
