Sparta Panels

This panel, one of two, was designed for Rob Morris’ last home he created in Great Falls, Virginia. Rob loved William Morris, the incredible English artist, textile and wallpaper designer of the latter 1800’s. His work essentially spawned the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau movements.

Rob placed William Morris’ wallpaper (which is still available today) in his homes, this one included, called “The Strawberry Thief.” Using the wallpaper as her inspiration, Pamela designed the panels to remain true to the original colors & design.

These panels, over 5 feet tall, are close to 1,000 pieces of hand cut and ground glasses, which are of the most beautiful quality, including mouth blown glass. This is perhaps the most intricate of Pamela’s works thus far.

Rob Morris passed away Dec. 29, 2013
